Privacy Policy

We take privacy seriously — as a cybersecurity company, we'd be embarrassed not to. This document explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Who We Are

SecWiz Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("SecWiz," "we," "us," or "our") is a private limited company incorporated in India, with its registered office at Plot No 11/23 Ambey Garden, Libaspur, Delhi – 110042, India. We are the data controller of the personal information you provide through secwiztech.com.

2. What We Collect

We only collect information you actively give us. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or behavioral profiling.

2.1 Contact & Cost Calculator Forms

  • Name (first & last)
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Company name (optional)
  • Project brief, selected services, estimated budget, and any other details you choose to share

2.2 Live Chat

If you use our on-site chat widget, we temporarily store your name, selected service, and the conversation transcript in your browser's sessionStorage (not a cookie). This data is cleared automatically when you close the tab. If you choose to send the chat to our team via email or WhatsApp, that transcript is transmitted to us and retained per Section 5.

2.3 Technical Data

  • IP address — used briefly for spam rate-limiting; stored hashed for up to 10 minutes then purged.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile challenge data — our CAPTCHA provider (Cloudflare, Inc.) may collect limited technical signals (user agent, IP) to distinguish humans from bots. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
  • Standard server logs — IP, timestamp, requested URL, user agent. Retained 30 days for security monitoring.

2.4 Cookies

This site does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. We only use a first-party cookie to remember your cookie-notice dismissal preference (stored locally in your browser for one year). You can clear it any time via your browser settings.

3. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

  • To respond to your enquiry (contract / pre-contractual steps, and legitimate interest).
  • To deliver services you've engaged us for (contract).
  • To prevent abuse of our forms and chat (legitimate interest in system security).
  • To comply with tax, invoicing, and regulatory obligations where we enter into a paid engagement (legal obligation).

We do not sell, rent, or share your data for marketing.

4. Who We Share It With

We share personal data only with:

  • Our own team — employees and contractors bound by confidentiality, strictly on a need-to-know basis.
  • Email delivery infrastructure — our hosting provider's outgoing mail service, solely to route form submissions to our inbox.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — for bot detection via Turnstile CAPTCHA (technical signals only, no form content).
  • Legal authorities — if compelled by a valid court order or to prevent serious harm.

5. How Long We Keep It

  • Form and chat submissions: up to 24 months from last contact, unless you ask us to delete earlier.
  • Engagement records (if you become a client): duration of the engagement plus the period required by Indian tax and commercial law (typically 7 years).
  • Rate-limit IP hashes: 10 minutes.
  • Server logs: 30 days.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have any or all of the following rights:

  • Access — ask us what we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data.
  • Deletion ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your data, subject to any overriding legal obligation.
  • Restriction / objection — ask us to stop processing your data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
  • Complain — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g. ICO in the UK, your national DPA in the EU, or the Data Protection Board of India).

7. International Transfers

SecWiz is based in India. If you contact us from the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions, your data will be transferred to and processed in India. India is not currently covered by an EU adequacy decision, so we rely on your consent (by submitting the form) and on contractual safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers where required.

8. Security

We protect your information using:

  • TLS 1.2+ encryption for all data in transit (HTTPS everywhere).
  • Strict input validation, CAPTCHA, rate limiting, and honeypots to prevent abuse.
  • Security headers (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options, etc.) to prevent common web attacks.
  • Least-privilege access controls within our team.
  • Regular security reviews — we practise what we preach.

No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to info@secwiztech.com.

9. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page, and we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance.
